Peace & Justice Conversations: How Wars End

December 4, 2023 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Join former diplomat and Colonel, Ann Wright for a discussion on what conditions lead to ceasefires and the ends of wars and how we can help bring those conditions about. Ann will share her experience and knowledge as a diplomat and apply it to the current situation in Ukraine, Yemen, and around the world to help us work to end wars.

Ann Wright is a retired US Army Colonel and a US diplomat who resigned in 2003 in opposition to the US war on Iraq. As a US diplomat she had served in US Embassies in Nicaragua, Grenada, Somalia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Sierra Leone, Micronesia, Afghanistan and Mongolia. Since her resignation, she has been working with many organizations that work for peace in our world including Veterans For Peace, CODEPINK: Women for Peace, Peace Action, No to NATO and the International Peace Bureau. She writes extensively and speaks at events around the world. Ann is also co-author of the book “Dissent: Voices of Conscience.”

About NHPA’s bi-weekly Zoom Peace & Justice Conversation Series: 2020’s upheavals brought us to a new moment of reckoning and possibility. How do we want to live in the world? What do we value? How can we make the changes we’ve been yearning for? NH Peace Action has been engaged in working for change for decades. We’d like to bring you into these conversations about issues and options for the future.  There is no charge to attend, but your contributions in any amount are greatly appreciated.
