Peace & Justice Conversations: Effective Nonviolent Resistance

October 21 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

How can nonviolent action be strategic and effective in resisting injustice and oppression?

Please join us on October 21 to hear from Jamila Raqib, Executive Director of the Albert Einstein Institution and a specialist in the study and practice of strategic nonviolent action.

For 15 years, Jamila worked closely with the late Dr. Gene Sharp, the world’s foremost scholar of the field of strategic nonviolent action. Since 2002, she has been focusing on the development and distribution of educational resources on nonviolent action and has conducted workshops on strategic planning for movements, human rights organizations, universities, and governmental bodies around the world.

About NHPA’s bi-weekly Zoom Peace & Justice Conversation Series: 2020’s upheavals brought us to a new moment of reckoning and possibility. How do we want to live in the world? What do we value? How can we make the changes we’ve been yearning for? NH Peace Action has been engaged in working for change for decades. We’d like to bring you into these conversations about issues and options for the future.  There is no charge to attend, but your contributions in any amount are greatly appreciated.
