Noura Zakarneh grew up in Palestine under Israeli military occupation, she is here in the US on a student visa and has offered to share her story with us. At a time where again violence against Palestinians has again spiked, Naura will share with us, the experience of growing up in Palestine, of living and studying in New Hampshire as a young Palestinian woman, and what it has been like hearing news about violence including killings in her home city while withdrawn from her home.
An accomplished Palestinian International lawyer and human rights activist, Noura Zakarneh’s career has been defined by a commitment to advancing justice, equality, and fairness for all. Her passion for protecting the rights of the marginalized and underserved has led her to pursue advanced studies in intellectual property law, with a focus on empowering developing countries to build their capacity and ensure that their voices are heard in the global arena. Driven by a deep commitment to social justice and human rights, she is constantly seeking new ways to make a positive impact in the world. Whether through my legal work, activism, or academic pursuits, she is dedicated to building a more just and equitable future for all.
You will have the opportunity to hear her story, and to ask questions in this special Monday night program on Zoom only.
This event will be facilitated by Scott Dickman of the Compassionate Listening Project. It WILL NOT be recorded.
