Peace and the Primary

9 AM -2:30 PM – Saturday, May 18, 2019

New England College – Concord Campus

62 North Main Street, Concord, NH

Global nuclear war again threatens humanity.  The Pentagon budget is guzzling trillions of dollars that should be spent for education, fighting the climate crisis, healthcare, and many other urgent needs.   Presidential candidates need to tell us where they stand on these issues.

This conference is about demanding answers from presidential candidates about nuclear weapons and the overall military budget.  Morning sessions will focus on the issues.  After lunch, bird dog training sessions (beginner and advanced) will show how to get answers from the candidates during the primary campaign.

SAVE THE DATE for the ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING!

10:00 am - 2:00 pm @ Concord, NH

Please save June 1, 2019 for NH Peace Action’s Annual Membership Meeting.

This is a very important meeting.  Board members are elected, budgets are set as well as priorities for the organization.  Dr. Darnisa Amante will be our Special Guest.

Darnisa will lead a discussion centered on the Triplets of Evil – Racism, militarism and poverty as articulated by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  which will explore the intersectionality of these three evils and ways we can work to build economic and racial equality, and confront the misplaced priorities of the military industrial complex. This is an opportunity for the NHPA membership to learn from Darnisa’s powerful perspective  gained through her work with the Disruptive Equity Education Project (DEEP) and other racial equity and anti-racism work she is involved in.

This will be a potluck luncheon, business meeting and networking event.    10 am to 2 pm, McLane Audubon Center, 84 Silk Farm Rd., Concord.

Watch your mail for the flyer coming soon or CLICK HERE for full details and to register!

Concord Market Days

7:00 am - 10:00 pm @ Main St., Concord

NH Peace Action will again this year have a booth at Concord Market Days.  This is a great opportunity to talk to people about the things we are all so passionate about and work so hard for.  It’s also a good time to expand our membership!  And we get to make a little money, too.  It’s a lot of fun!

We need volunteers  to help us do that.  Even just a couple of hours is extremely helpful!  Doreen will set up the booth each morning: Thursday, Friday and Saturday, June 20, 21, and 22.  Will will take the last shift and close down the booth in the evening.

We are grateful for any shift you can take!  Please CLICK HERE and fill in the google sheet with the shift you can work.  Please email Doreen@nhpeaceaction.org if you have any trouble with the doc.

Thank you!
