Nagasaki and Hiroshima Remembrance

5:00 pm - 10:00 pm @ Concord, NH

Please join us for our Annual Nagasaki and Hiroshima Remembrance Services.  We begin at 5 pm at the Concord Campus of New England College for sign-making and potluck finger foods (please bring something to share).  At 5:30, we will have a program, possibly a short film or a discussion on nuclear weapons.

At 6:40 we will walk to City Plaza for a demonstration and reflections.  At 7:10 we will begin marching to the river at Kiwanis Park (next to the Everett Arena) where we will vigil and toss flowers into the river.  (Please bring your own flowers).

Peace of Mind Youth Conference

9:00 am - 4:00 pm @ World Fellowship Center

This is a 2 day overnight for high school aged youth to engage in dialogue and to learn tools for social change.  Plus there will be swimming, campfires and a sunrise hike with like minded individuals!

This event is sponsored by NH Peace Action.  Parental permission form is required.

Unveiled: A One Woman Play
by Rohina Malik

In her rich, upbeat and provocative 70-minute collection of five character studies of Muslim women in modern-day America, Rohina Malik brings the five women to life on stage as they serve tea and uncover what lies beneath the veil in this critically acclaimed one-woman show.  Racism, hate crimes, love, Islam,culture, language and life are interwoven in this uplifting theater experience.
