Voting Rights March and Rally

1:00 pm - 3:00 pm @ Concord, NH

On Saturday April 1, 2017 following “crossover day” in the legislature, Open Democracy will lead the NH March for Voting Rights from Concord High School to the State House. The 1.2 mile march through downtown Concord will bring together hundreds of concerned citizens and numerous advocacy organizations dedicated to our democracy. After the walk, we will hold a Rally at the State House featuring students, veterans, and other leaders. After the Rally we will have activist training sessions.

"Citizen Power"

The duties and power of citizenship have seldom been more in the news. Renowned author Eric Liu will explore “Citizen Power” in a talk at the Currier Museum of Art in Manchester on Friday, April 21 at 6 p.m.

Presented by Constitutionally Speaking in partnership with the New Hampshire Institute for Civics Education, Mr. Liu will present the William W. Treat Lecture. The event is free and open to all.

Mother's Day Peace Brunch

Join us on Saturday Mary 13 for Mother’s Day Peace Brunch as we celebrate Mother’s Day as  introduced by Julia Ward Howe in 1890, A Day for Women to Oppose Militarism and War.  You can read about the original proclamation HERE.

The program will include a locally sourced brunch, with performance by the  New American African teen dancers, as well as opportunities for action and excellent company.
